OUR STRONG ROOTS IN THE COMMUNITY CREATES COMMITMENT AND INVOLVEMENT
IN SOCIAL, ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL PROBONO WORK
ESTUDIO BUNGE- Bunge, Smith & Luchía Puig attorneys encourage social responsibility by supporting the improvement in the quality of life in the community in which they work, addressing issues that go beyond the legal or business sphere.
There is active participation in the Rotary Club of the City of Buenos Aires, an international organization and club with the purpose of bringing together business leaders and university and non-university professionals, in order to provide humanitarian services in their communities, to promote high standards of ethics in all occupations and to help foster goodwill and peace in the world.
We participate in pro bono activities in several areas of our community:
Active participation within FORES (Forum for Studies on the Administration of Justice) regarding the functioning and reform of the justice system in Argentina. FORES is a partnership organized more than 40 years ago with the mission that justice represents a service to the community, independent of the current government and with the idea that the judicial service comprises more actors than the members of the Judiciary Power. For this reason, FORES works in the processes of selection of judges and develops the PEA (a Practical Training Program for Lawyers).
The Firm also supports the non-governmental organization Asociación Clásica del Sur, dedicated to the promotion and provision of access to classical music to people who lack the resources to do so.
We also lead Giuliano Astolfoni Foundation within the Aguaribay building, where multiple activities related to art, business, science and culture take place.
The Firm leads the American International University Foundation, which promotes access to education for Argentine students in the United States of America.
The Firm provides legal advice to Co Sistema S.A. (a non-profit association organized as a corporation under Section 3 of the Corporations Act). Co Sistema S.A. is part of the Project NJAMBRE, an accelerator of social and environmental projects, which provides support to different social entrepreneurs so that they can be accompanied during their first steps and can count on tools for the analysis of their respective projects. Also, there is a possibility of identifying weaknesses and risks for the successful implementation of projects, making their projects visible to the community for entities, or companies that are willing to collaborate with them. Furthermore, they can prepare short-term and medium-term implementation plans for their projects.
This perspective helps these social projects to grow and develop in their early stages and allows them to strengthen their foundations. Also, it provides them with the necessary tools so to continue with their activity independently.
